A chat with America's latest TV star that's making all the right moves on and off the big screen.

American actor Cameron J. Wright is the teen star of the wholesome family Netflix sitcom Family Reunion, which began shooting its second season this January, and has recently received the 2020 NAACP Image Award. The fifteen-year-old rose to fame after the first season and has been described as a natural, refreshing, and diverse performer.

In the show, he plays Mazzi McKellen and stars opposite big names on television such as Tia Mowry (who plays his mother), Loretta Divine (Grandma), and Richard Roundtree (Grandpa).

Wright’s real-life parents and grandparents immigrated from South Africa to LA where the singer, actor/ musician has proven to get it right in the entertainment industry.

He was also featured in the movie Tall Girl (2019). In our Compulsive interview with Wright, we got a little glimpse into his world.

With your busy acting schedule, how do you manage school?

I’m currently being homeschooled. Tell us something interesting about yourself. I taught myself to play the ukulele! I enjoyed it because I love the way it sounds. I also have a band called NCK (Ncredible Crazy Kids), which is managed by Nick Canon. I also take piano and guitar lessons.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy staying home with my family. My Mom is very special and extremely supportive of my career.
